Re: Rabbits are poultry?

Dear Secretary Johanns:

Regarding the Humane Slaughter Act, I don’t understand why the USDA is seeking to categorize rabbits as poultry. Meat hooks and decapitations are all well and good, but can’t we wait until these animals are unconscious? Can’t we gas them first?

Of course, if we won’t honor the Geneva Accords, which apply to human beings, why should we honor the Humane Slaughter Act, which doesn’t even apply to poultry?

Once the USDA classifies Arab Muslims as poultry, there’ll be no stopping you guys. As a Bush appointee, I won’t be surprised to hear you’re down at the abattoir yourself, driving hooks into bunnies. Enjoy!

Sincerely yours,
Stickboy
