Submission Guidelines

Olios is a roots movement dedicated to music, poetry, interviews, fiction, book reviews, spoken word, rants, the perfect manhattan, current affairs, politics, cultural leanings, photography, movie reviews, artwork, opinion, essays, friction, and the general states of ruin that serve as creative soil for the literate underground.

And if there's something you'd like to offer that I didn't cover above, well, we'll consider that too. Just keep a few things in mind:

  • Articles and essays, relating to current affairs topics, must cite credible sources and present factual information. Please present information in clear, concise, and rhetorically sound manner.
  • Opinion pieces are your forum for conjecture. Try to avoid conspiracies and contradictions.
  • Book, music, and movie reviews are not confined to current releases. Please go beyond a like/dislike presentation and discuss social or pop cultural relevance, or the artist's particular skill-set.
  • Other bits of nonsense will be considered on a case by case basis.

Feel free to drop me a line at wiley@oliosonline.org to discuss potential material, along with a writing sample. We accept email submissions only.

Olios is a miscellany, a co-habitation of various artistic, literary, and ideological views designed to articulate an in-depth discussion within both the popular and alternative culture.

Best,
Stephen Wiley
Editor-in-Chief
